Our mission is to provide all school-aged children in the United States, European Union and developing world to engage effectively with their own personal laptop, networked to the world, so that they, their families and their communities can openly learn and connect with the world about learning.
The OLPS Foundation focuses on designing, manufacturing, and distributing laptops to children in the United States, European Union and lesser developed countries, initially concentrating on those governments that have made commitments for the funding and program support required to ensure that all of their children own and can effectively use a laptop computer to further their learning and education and allowing them to get jobs later.

About Me
Hello. My name is Sara Beach. I am the Director of Administration here at the corporate office and primary contact at One Laptop Per Student Foundation. I have been caring for children and helping them learn with computers for over ten years. I am certified and have also completed the OLPS guidelines training and licensing orientation program. I really enjoy what I do because I love children and want every student to be able to have a computer for learning. We promise to provide and support each student as if he or she was our own. With your help we can continue to pursue our mission around the world.
My Philosophy
I believe that all students and children deserve love, attention, and a tool to learn and get connected to the world. I believe that a laptop computer will allow students to explore and grow. At OLPS, we allow children to have hands-on learning experiences through our foundation. This fosters age appropriate development and learning. We believe that positive reinforcement is important for children to develop self-esteem and computer learning will build their confidence in learning new things. Students need a laptop that supports free expression and stimulates learning. Most importantly, however, I believe that children need to have fun! Students learn best from experiencing the world around them with a laptop.

A donation of $200 will pay for and deliver one OLPS laptop to a child in need either in the United States, European Union or developing nation, $400 will pay for and deliver two OLPS laptops, and so on. Your entire contribution will be tax-deductible.

Software specifically developed for training and educational environment. Fully in English or translated into the mother language (most countries), with all the classical tools allowing operations as:
- Wright, erase, paint, underline, draw geometric shapes, copy, move, rotate, paste, undo/redo, etc.
- Customizable background color, allowing work in whiteboard environment, blackboard environment or other specific color.
- Multiple page work, create new page, duplicate, delete, clone, organize pages, free browsing between pages.
- Possibility to use different backgrounds per page, (lines, grids, staves, etc.)
Additionally A-migo supports a set of advanced tools and settings such us:
